About Dr Huang Shoou Chyuan

Dr. Huang is an accredited Ear Nose Throat Surgeon (also called Otorhinolarynologist) with Singapore’s Ministry of Health with more than 30 years’ experience.

Dr Huang completed his basic medical (1984) and specialist ENT training in Singapore and has postgraduate degrees from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Edinburgh) and Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow (FRCS Glasgow) (1990). He is a fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore and also has an MBA from University of South Australia.

He is a well-respected and senior member of his specialty with many years of experience in treatment of many aspects of the Ear Nose Throat anatomy.

Dr Huang was the Chairman of the Chapter of ORL (ENT surgery) of the College of Surgeons (Academy of Medicine, Singapore) as well as an elected member of Gleneagles Hospital’s Medical Advisory Board where he chaired the Medical Quality Assurance committee as well as serving in various other committees.

He was a member of various Ministry of Health (MOH) and Academic committees including Residency Advisory Committee (MOH), Audit committee and Membership committee (Academy of Medicine, Singapore) and was also involved in Post-graduate ENT training. He was a Clinical Teacher as well as an Examiner in the MMed ( Master of Medicine  ORL) as well as the final Exit Examination (ORL).
